Before my diagnosis came back I scoured the net looking for real life images & references to help me understand what I was dealing with. So I'm sharing this with you, hoping to aid anyone elses who finds themselves in a similar situation.

BLOOD

Don't know if it has much to do with Breast Cancer per se - but still found it an interesting reference

hello,
just wanted to let you know that i stopped by, and you are not alone. my husband and i had to move from hawaii to maryland earlier this year for his bone marrow transplant (there aren't any suitable transplant facilities in hawaii), and then had to move to baltimore for three months for the transplant. needless to say, i really haven't had the time to make good friends, and i can definitely relate to the loneliness and feeling like no one "gets it." but this is a great way to connect with people and express yourself. i'll check in often, and i hope that you have better days soon...even if they come from a nurse who is extra kind, or an oncologist who's easy on the eyes as he examines you. every little bit helps.

Oh, Amanda - I'd be honored. Thanks so much for the warm, encouraging words. It certainly is a small world. I just moved from Baltimore... Bel Air, actually - but I've family in Baltimore County, and in Upper Marlboro - which I think is pretty close to you. If there is anything I can help with - please just let me know. You and you're husband are already in my prayers.

cool, i work at andrews afb (the nameless "govt agency"). likewise, let me know if i can offer a helping hand, or a listening ear.

sometimes it's just nice to know that there's other people out there in the same shape that you're in.
